Calculate your destiny number
The destiny number comes from your complete birth date. It describes the path running through your life: recurring themes, and the tasks you grow on.
The calculation
- Write your birth date as a string of digits: day, month, year.
- Add every digit individually.
- If the result has two digits, add those together as well.
- Repeat until a single number from 1 to 9 remains.
Example: 23/07/1990 becomes 2+3+0+7+1+9+9+0 = 31, and 3+1 = 4. The destiny number is 4.
What the destiny number describes
It shows the pattern that repeats: the kind of situation you keep meeting, and the ability being practised in it.
It is not a prediction. It does not say what will happen; it describes a direction in which your experiences make sense.
How it differs from the consciousness and mission numbers
The consciousness number comes from the day alone and describes how you perceive and react first.
The mission number comes from day and month and describes what you put your energy into.
The destiny number sums up the whole date. Only together do the three make a picture that holds.
What master numbers mean
If 11, 22 or 33 appears along the way, it is noted and then reduced anyway. The single digit stays the foundation; the master number describes an extra tension inside it.
The nine destiny numbers
What each number describes, with strengths, shadow side and its planet.
- Does the destiny number change over a lifetime?
- No. It comes from the birth date and stays the same. What changes is the personal year and the personal day.
- What if I do not know my time of birth?
- You do not need it for the destiny number. The date is enough; the time only matters for the astrological chart.
- Is this the same as the life path number?
- Both terms mean the same calculation from the full birth date. In the SyuTsai method it is called the destiny number.
